2016 Has been one of the greatest and most challenging years. I have experienced immense joys and successes, along with a terrible loss. I am raw and open, and immersing myself in work to grow and move beyond. I have new projects that are developing, however, I need to raise money to support those endeavors. I am offering a limited-time discount on all portrait and photography services. I have also created a new series of self-portraits that are being offered here for the first time to the public. More information below.
These sessions can be used to capture portraits, pets, families, dancers, events, or whatever else you want documented. You can set the date now or take advantage of the special pricing for a session later this year. Gift certificates are available.

ElbowSpace is about making room for whatever it is that is important to you. A new series of self-portraits, this series is a detour away from the photography most are used to seeing from me. There is a backstory to the name that you can read more about in the gallery.

More about this fundraiser:
As I mentioned above, it’s been a challenging couple months. I celebrated my 40th birthday. I graduated from Sonoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and statistics. My daughter grew taller than me and became a middle-schooler. And, most staggering, my father unexpectedly passed away.
He and I always had a beautiful, hilarious, antagonistic, and deeply loving relationship. I never felt like I lived up to his expectations, but I also knew that his way of showing his love was by pushing me further and harder. He was never an easy person, but he was my father and there is a huge hole now in the lives of all of us who were close to him.
My life has been this whirlwind of milestones, both high-highs and really low-lows. I now am trying to redefine who I am and where I am going, while struggling constantly with indecision, stress and depression. In times past, when I’ve had to peel myself up off the floor, jumping into new work has always been the best distraction, and that’s what I’m writing about today.
I’ve got new projects beginning to evolve, however, I need to raise money to get them off the ground. I’m starting this fundraising project by offering what I know best: photography. I hope you will consider purchasing a new print or investing in a 2016 photo session. If you have any questions feel free to contact me any time.
